About Me
Zurishaddai Powell serves as Assistant Vice President of Fair Lending & CRA at Frontier Bank. A Louisiana native who proudly calls Texas home, Zuri brings nearly a decade of experience in financial services, specializing in regulatory compliance, community reinvestment, and financial education. She holds an MBA in Technology Management from Colorado Technical University and a Master of Legal Studies from Texas A&M University School of Law. Recognized with the 2025 Leaders in Financial Education (LiFE) Award from the Texas Bankers Foundation, Zuri is passionate about expanding financial opportunity, strengthening communities, and supporting Frontier’s commitment to fair and responsible banking. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, DIY home staging, volunteering, and being a proud SuperMom to her son and two Goldendoodles.

How long have you been in banking?
I began my career in the financial services industry in 2017 at a credit union, and I have been proudly serving the community in banking ever since.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To fly! There is nothing cooler than the idea of soaring through the sky like a superhero at a moment’s notice. Just call me SuperZee! 🙂
Who is your favorite superstar?
Queen Bey—Beyoncé Knowles. Proud member of the #TeamBeyhive!
Who would you most like to meet and why?
Michelle Obama. As an African American woman, seeing her serve as First Lady was a deeply proud and emotional moment for me. Leading at the highest level, she inspired me to believe in myself, overcome the odds, and always aim for the top in my own career.
What do you do for fun?
Conquering my fears has become my version of fun! Since 2021, I’ve faced my fear of dogs, gone ziplining, and checked skydiving off my list. Parasailing is up next!
Do you have any pets, and what are their names?
I have two petite-mini Goldendoodles, Buttercup Victoria and Louey Lee. I call them my ‘Yin-Yang Doods’ because they are complete opposites but equally loving!
