Depending on what type of business you have, we will need the following information with a completed business application to open a business account. We will also need personal identifying information for each signer authorized on the business account.
An Assumed Name Certificate, commonly known as a DBA (Doing Business As), must be filed with the County Clerk if a business is operating under a name that is different from the owner’s surname. If the business name includes the owner’s surname, there is no need to file an Assumed Name Certificate.
Additionally, if the business owner is not using their Social Security number for reporting purposes, a copy of the IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN) is required.
*Partnerships, Limited Partnerships, LLC, and Corporations are NOT eligible to open a NOW Account.
*We cannot open a business account if the business is awaiting the issuance of its EIN number.
