If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Be a healer. How powerful it would be to heal someone with the wave of your hand.

What is your favorite food?
Partial to a perfectly grilled steak and any Tex-Mex in Corpus Christi.

Most famous person you have met?
Sandra Bullock. Ok, I didn’t meet her, but I was on a plane she was on, does that count?

What was your favorite toy as a kid?
Good ole USA-made Tonka trucks. The metal ones that had lead paint and all that. The ones that pinched your fingers if you made the wrong decision.

What do you do for fun?
We love to travel with our three beautiful kids and spend as much time as we can with them.

What is your personal motto?
Control your destiny, or someone else will. – Jack Welch

What character traits do you admire most?
Leadership

Do you have any hidden talents?
I can belt out a few tunes at any karaoke bar you want to take me to. You buy, I sing, you leave, I sing some more, I get asked to leave because no one is buying.

Elaine Martin is a seasoned executive in the banking industry since 1983. Born and raised in Elgin, Elaine is valued for her leadership and operational prowess. In her 14 years at Frontier Bank, she has distinguished herself as a trusted advisor, virtuous leader, and devoted customer advocate.

When asked why she loves Frontier Bank, Elaine quickly replied, “because of the people who work here and, of course, the customers that come in our doors!”

I have an adorable, smart German Shepherd named Lola.

What do you do for fun?
I love to search the antique and junk shops for unusual collectibles.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I can play guitar and enjoy drawing. I hope to have more time to enjoy these activities someday.

Amelia Earhart.  What an adventurer she was!

What do you find is the most challenging part of banking?
Having enough time to devote to every aspect of the bank.

Vicki Dumbeck – Elgin Market PresidentPortrait of Vicky Dumbeck

Vicki Dumbeck is an Executive Vice President and Elgin Market President of Frontier Bank of Texas. She manages all aspects of consumer real estate lending, including loan recommendations, loan production, and credit policies and procedures. With over 35 years of banking and lending experience, Vicki has worked in most areas of the bank and specializes in consumer and real estate lending. As a leader and a natural collaborator, she understands that the right combination of financial expertise, close customer relationships, and superior customer service puts a small-town bank in a unique position to build a stronger financial institution and a stronger community at the same time. By nurturing close relationships with individual customers, community institutions, and businesses of all sizes, she has enhanced the bank’s ability to serve as an engine for growth in Central Texas  When asked why she loves Frontier Bank, Vicki replied, “We have the greatest customers….that’s why!”

My Great, Great, Grandfather, and Grandmother. I would like to hear the stories of their journey from Germany to the United States and Texas.

We have horses, 14 Alpacas, 3 Llamas, 4 Dwarf Nigerian goats (Lucy and her babies, Jolene, Trudy & Charlotte), and many other animals that we love dearly.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Rid the world of all cancer.

What do you do for fun?
I love spending time with my husband and value the time spent with our animals. Each has its own personality, especially our babies (Mia, Ferdinand & Jack Frost) and our baby alpacas.

Cole Bolton – Senior Vice President, Director of Small Business and Commercial BankingPortrait of Cole Bolton

Cole can rope and ride with the best of them! He holds an MBA in Agricultural Education and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Leadership from Texas Tech University. Bolton serves as a Director of Small Business and Commercial Banking since 2019, and previous to that, he was a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking. Bolton is responsible for developing small business and commercial bankers to deliver best-in-class community banking. He is passionate about providing top-notch deposit and loan solutions with expedited service throughout Central Texas. He enjoys competitive calf roping, team roping, and bay fishing. Cole also owns and operates his own cattle company, where he raises heifers to breed and pre-conditions yearlings. Bolton and his wife are residents and owners of a beef cattle operation in Austin, where he raises heifers to breed and pre-conditions yearlings.

Evelyn Franco – Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing

As Frontier Bank’s Director of Strategy and Marketing, Evelyn Franco is responsible for transformational initiatives across the bank’s footprint to modernize and scale important enterprise capabilities designed to position the bank for future growth. She provides leadership and execution of digital transformations, operating model design, technology modernization, vendor management, and bank-wide cost and operations improvement. Additionally, she is responsible for community relations and marketing strategy. Evelyn brings 19 years of experience in retail banking, innovation, private and public banking operations, and leadership. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, hiking, and traveling.

Why do you love Frontier Bank of Texas?
I love Frontier Bank because of the bank’s character, culture, and capacity. I have great respect for my colleagues and enjoy being part of this fantastic team.

What do you find is the most challenging part of banking?
Changing customer demographics play a significant role in rising customer expectations: With each new generation of banking customers comes a more innate understanding of technology and, as a result, an increased expectation of digitized experiences. It is imperative that we remain agile, pivot quickly, and innovate to thrive as an industry. Our bank is built on tradition, and we are committed to delivering the same friendly personal experience they have grown accustomed to while embracing the digital world.

What is your dream car?
A black Cadillac CT5.  A girl can dream, right?

Do you have a pet, and what is their name?
I have a 2-year-old English Bulldog mix named Little Cupcake I adopted from the Bastrop shelter and a 16-year-old Yorkie named Minnie. My fur babies bring joy and laughter into my life.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
The power to heal. I am so thankful for all the medical advancements in our world today, but to have the ability to heal would be the most beautiful gift of all.

What do you do for fun?
I enjoy hiking. Reading and baking.

My favorite food is dessert. I enjoy rich, decadent desserts.

Ambitious, creative, and kind.

With over 7 years of financial industry experience, Amanda provides strategic oversight and is evolving the people function to ensure Frontier is positioned for even more organizational success. She spends her time partnering with leaders to build progressive tools and inspire process innovations that ensure employees can spend their time doing meaningful work. Amanda, a resident of Bastrop, has a bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Nebraska and attained a master’s degree in Business Management from Bellevue University. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their 22 Nigerian Dwarf Goats and a Great Dane/Lab mix “puppy” named Sven.

What do you find is the most challenging part of banking?

Keeping up with technology, digitization, and digital transformation and ensuring our teams and customers always know what to expect and what is expected.

 

Why do you love Frontier Bank of Texas?

I love interacting with the customers and team members, I learn something new every day!

 

What music is playing in your car right now?

I usually listen to podcasts, but I always look for upbeat, classic funk for an energy boost and pick me up. New Orleans swing jazz also does the trick!

 

What is your dream car?

Hmm…Nothing specific comes to mind but I dream of a car with zero carbon footprint.

 

What was your favorite toy as a kid?

Don’t recall many special toys but I loved all my books.

My family and friends back home often refer to me as “Mandy”.
